Mariko Jesse is a printmaker and illustrator. She studied at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in London, where she also went on to teach. Her work celebrates the patterns, colours and textures of different cultures, exploring sense of place and belonging. Mariko’s prints are generally small and delicate in scale, and have been admired for both their Asian and Western sensibilities. She has exhibited internationally.

For the In the Details show, Mariko has curated a selection of her ceramic/tea prints, highlighting the details that show how we relate to nature in our everyday  interactions with man-made objects.

Mariko is currently based in Tokyo, and splits her time between California, Asia and London.
